My Crochet Kitchen: Bicolour Pear Gourd

Growing pumpkins and gourds is one of the highlights of my Summer – and harvesting them in Autumn is even

better!

These little bicolour pear gourds are such a stunning variety, and are perfect for decorating the house (just heads up, gourds aren’t

edible!).

This is an intermediate pattern because although the stitches are all fairly straightforward, it’s heavy on colourwork throughout. You’ll workin continuous rounds so you’ll want to place a st marker at the beginning of each round to keeping track of your st count. The stem is then crocheted separately before attaching.

You could try making multiple gourds in a range of different sizes / shapes, adding some natural variation to the height with a few extra rounds of xs all round etc.
