With a wide, flat bottom, the cotton bag as shown measures approximately 19” wide by 16” high with a 5” wide bottom panel, and will hold just about as much as can be carried.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe bottom panel is worked flat in Seed Stitch and stitches are then picked up around four sides on a circular needle for knitting the rest of the bag. The I-cord drawstring and Seed Stitch handle are worked separately; the drawstring is threaded through the top row of eyelets and the handle is sewn on.
