Product Description
nMolly Baby socks were inspired by a trip to a Dallas yarn shop while visiting friends. Molly needed socks. I had an evening with my friends, Molly’s parents. The complication? No set of dpns of the right size to be found—so these were knit on straight needles, with only two dpns used at the very end of the project. Et Voila, Molly Baby was invented. It’s a shaped baby sock, inspired by Priscilla Gibson-Roberts’ short rows, but knitted on straight needles in an evening.
Originally published on MagKnits. I’ve done more editing, updated the gauge and yarn choices. Molly modeled Classic Elite Star, which has been discontinued. This updated pattern is worked with 2 strands of finger weight yarn or one strand of sport weight yarn that knits at 5 sts to an inch, #4(3.5mm) straight needles, and needs two dpns for BO.
