These fun mittens are knit completely opposite but manage to match in the end!
Designed to maximize learned techniques for my beginning knitting students, the first mitten is knit top down and the second one is knit cuff up.
Alternate directions are given for adding the forethought thumb for the second pair you make- once you've decided which starting orientation is your favorite.
Knit in a luxury blend of cashmere and merino, you will reach for these cozy mittens all winter long.
Finished Measurements:
Gauge**:** 27 sts and 39 rows equals 4”(10 cm)
Materials Needed:
Yarn:65 grams (240 yards) of cashmere/merino sportweight yarn. Sample knit in Wollmeise Blend.
