The ribbed hats shown here have been knitted in Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran and Milla Mia Naturally Soft Merino Aran.
As this hat is worked in rib this pattern recommends and is written using a 4mm needle with your aran weight yarn. This will give you a neat tight rib which will bounce back.

Great project
I knitted 8 hats of varying sizes for a family trip to Lapland. Easy pattern, 6 hours a hat, and I received many compliments from guests. Result! Not the cheapest option using Debbie Bliss cashmerino Aran, but super soft. I added stripes, and used leftover wool for pom-poms. Great project!
Easy to follow even for a beginner, when knitted up looks professional . I’m on my third hat from 6 - 9 years and adult hat. Also very quick delivery from ordering to receiving from the postman. Have recommended to many people.
