Memai - vertigo in Japanese - is a boxy pullover with a winding colorwork pattern on the body and sleeves.
The pullover is worked from the top down seamlessly. The fronts and backs are provisionally cast on, and German short rows are used to shape the shoulders. They are worked back and forth separately to the underarm, then joined to be worked in the round to the hem.
The colorwork begins before the body is knitted in the round and worked back and forth until then.
The sleeves stitches are picked up and worked from the top down in the round, in the same colorwork pattern as on the body.
