Maple the Red Fox

Autumn is in the air, golden leaves are dancing, wild mushrooms are sprouting, the perfect season to cuddle up with Maple the Red Fox during rainy days. Maple loves to walk quietly through the forest looking for the perfect mushroom cap to protect him from the weather, and then fly up to the trees to admire the changing foliage. This design was made in collaboration with Sandra from Four Seasons Fox.

The pattern is written in U.S. terminology. The main part of this project is worked in rounds so you might want to use a stitch marker to mark the end of each round. There is no specific gauge for this project, just try to keep it tight and even throughout each piece. Maple the Red Fox is worked with the “x” single crochet technique (yarn under, yarn over), and with Scheepjes Catona yarn, but any similar Fingering Cotton yarn will give similar results.
