Magic Circle Hot Pad -- a loom knit pattern

The Magic Circle Hot Pad is a double-thickness hot pad. The hot pad is knit with short rows as a flat panel. It's unique construction causes the fabric to fold up on itself when taken off of the loom and creates a magic circle of fabric. The pattern comes with instructions for two sizes: 8" in diameter and 9.5" in diameter.

The Magic Circle Hot Pad is loom knit on any 3/8" gauge knitting loom (like Knitting Board’s Flexee Loom Links Skinny (3/8” gauge) or Knitting Board’s Adjustable Multi Knit Loom). The pattern uses approximately 85 yards and 100 yards of a worsted weight 100% cotton yarn for the 8" and 9.5" sized hot pad, respectively.

Because of the short row construction, this pattern is suitable for an intermediate loom knitter.
