Mabel Crochet Blanket

Mabel was inspired by the Ohio Star quilt block and was originally designed for a crochet/yarn club which ran during 2012.I’ve always loved this quilt block and, although not British, it evokes a sense of comfort and history for me.

YarnThe original blanket was made with lots of different British Sheep breeds, so it can be made from wool produced by small specialist suppliers.I also recommend Fyberspates Scrumptious 4 ply, which is a beautiful luxury yarn and is available in a range of suitable colours
