Do you have a little girl in your life who loves ruffles? Little Sowa is the kids' version of Sowa, a girly top that is part of the Impulsive Knits collection. Make one for yourself and one for that little girl in your life! My little 4-year-old model is my niece, who is by no means a girly girl - she's wild and crazy, just like I am at times. A niece & aunty set is awesome for both of us to climb trees in! ;)
You can either use lace yarn, working the body with double strands and the ruffles with one strand, or a light fingering weight yarn. I have done the latter for the pattern sample, which makes the ruffles slightly heavier. On the grown up version I have used lace weight yarn, which lightens the ruffles a little bit.
