Little Flower Girl Bag (4-in-1 Pattern)

4-in-1 pattern.

It works beautifully as both a dainty strappy bag and a pouch for gifting, storing little treasures or keeping things together in a larger handbag. You can choose to either continue working a strap or add a separate drawstring in another colour.

It’s made of 2 granny squares, one with the flower design and one without, that are seamed together (without breaking your working yarn so it's extra sturdy) and then finished with a scalloped edge.

There are 2 flower designs – cherry blossom and a daisy – that add a lovely 3-dimensional detail to the pouch / bag.

It’s a quick and beginner- / advanced beginner-friendly pattern that’s simple enough even for someone who’s never made a granny square before to follow. You’ll find photos tutorials throughout to help you follow along and links to videos are also included for you to reference if you prefer.

The starting chain does not count as a stitch. It’s worked in rounds, without turning apart from the edging.
