Little amigurumi crab

Crocheting these tiny crabs is really addictive! After the first one you can’t resist crocheting an handful of crabs with little claws.

Pattern notes  The little crab is formed by 2 pieces (back and belly)then sewn together. The pattern is worked using the amigurumi method. Work in a continuous spiral without closing off the rounds with a ss. It may help to use a stitch marker in the last stitch of each round, moving it up as you work.  You can follow the written instructions or the chart.  Tension  To make this amigurumi it isn’t necessary to use the recommended yarn and crochet hook. Using a larger crochet hook, and a suitable yarn, the amigurumi will be larger preserving the same proportions.

Measurements  Working with a 2.5 mm crochet hook and the suggested cotton yarn the finished amigurumi will be approx. 5 cm / 2 in diameter.
