Meet our Lion. He's cute, cuddly and totally adorable.
While our Lion is rated as an intermediate pattern, he's really not too difficult for an advanced beginner looking for a challenge. Loop stitch is time consuming and a bit tricky, so make sure to look up how to do it before you start. Go slow, be patient and remember to have fun. :)
You will need approximately 95 m of medium weight yellow yarn for the head, legs, ears and body and 60 m of medium weight dark brown for the mane. With this yarn, use 4 mm (US size 6) needles. You will also need stuffing (we use ecofil or wool), a small amount of black yarn for the eyes nose and mouth and a tapestry needle to sew your lion together.
Use the yarn we suggest, or any yarn you like. This pattern scales easily, so any thickness of yarn works beautifully.
