Great value for pure wool
Great value for pure wool, very generous balls, I can’t fault it for what it is. I’m using it for an Aran sweater, and I’m about 20cm up the back. I’ve found no knots at all.
PLEASE NOTE: Tweed shades have different blend (78% Wool,13% Acrylic,9% Rayon) and different skein size (170g and 318m).
Only [Birch Tweed-202]: 90% wool, 7% acrylic, 3% rayon

I saw a pattern that I liked which used this yarn. All pieces finished, just got to pick up 300 odd sets for the collar. The pattern was free on your website. The pattern could be a little clearer in places but that’s the patterns fault not yours!
The wool looks perfect. I'm planning a cardigan for my husband, but I haven't started yet. I wanted an oiled wool so that it will be slightly water resistant. Yes, I hope so. Thanks.
Looks and feels as good as previous purchase of this yarn ( oak tweed ) which knitted up beautifully, has been well-worn and washed several times and still looks as good as new. Excellent value!
The yarn has a horrible artificial scent like the worst kind of air freshener or drier sheets, just awful and fakey. The yarn feels lovely, soft and squishy and soft from the lanolin, but that fake smell gave me a terrible headache. Under that awful disgusting headache making smell is the divine beautiful scent of the natural lanolin, but I've had to take apart the skeins and keep them on the balcony for weeks to clear the awful disgusting yucky very very bad artificial fragrance that they...
I really enjoyed knitting with this wool. It was a really good price for 100% wool a lot of it. It’s nice that such a huge brand actually has a nice wool in natural shades. It’s not an indie level-wool, but it has a lovely rustic handle and still smells sheep-y, which I love.
I have bought Fishermen’s Wool which is absolutely wonderful to knit with. I am using 5.5 knitting needles so the Aran jumper is growing quickly. This is a great wool to work with and I can strongly recommend it.
Great wool and easy to work with but thought it would be a thicker ply. However, my end product has turned out well as I just doubled the wool use and it’s very warm.

This is my first time using Lionbrand fisherman yarn. It is lovely to knit with and a good value for the money. I purchased it to make a shawl collar sweater, and I am very pleased with how it is looking. I would definitely recommend this yarn.
