Lilacs For Mama

Lilacs For Mama was designed for publication in the May & June 2026 issue of Doll Castle Magazine, to which I am a regular pattern contributor. It was inspired by -- well, Mother's Day and lilacs. When I was growing up, my mom had two beautiful huge lilac bushes growing at the back corner of our house, and I loved to bury my face in the purple blossoms. (I still do, as a matter of fact -- being careful, of course, not to sniff a bee. Which I did. Once).

With its pretty light purple color and frothy ruffles, doesn’t this little dress remind you of lilacs, springtime, and Mama’s flowers?
