I’ve designed this label as a first day at school gift. It may swing on the pencil case, or on the gym bag, or at the keychain or as a bag dangler. My husband is getting one for his suitcase. And for Christmas, I’m going to use it as a gift tag.

You can “write” any name you want. In this pattern, a complete Latin alphabet is shown as a chart.

Needles and tools:

math block, ruler, pencil

circular knitting needle US 1.5/2.5mm, 3 DPNs of the same size, tapestry needle, scissors

Yarn in the main color and a scrap of contrasting color for the name. I knitted with sock yarn 4ply and used between 5 and 8 grams (total) depending on the number of letters and size of the label.
