Gauge 21 stitches in 4 in / 10cm in stockinette stitch
You will need yarn (up to 40 grams for the smallest size, up to 90 grams for the largest size), knitting needles to obtain the gauge. Crochet hook if you are making crochet ties. A darning needle and two stitch markers. A cable needle.
The hat is knit flat.
