No problem
Have used the Shetland Spindrift before and I've knitted up other FairIsle hat patterns, so no problem. The wool is lovely to knot with, it's easy to block and a little goes a long way. I've knitted the pattern twice, though the 1st size is for a small toddler/child, so measure their heads before you knit it to check that with an older child you need the 2nd. size.
