The yarn I purchased is a budget brand and it knits up perfectly. I am making scarves and mittens for the homeless. They usually have no way of laundering these items so, in effect, they are disposable. There is no point using expensive yarns although I wish I could.

This looks nice and knits up well. I’m docking a star because it is quite a stiff yarn. The shininess makes it a bit coarse as you’d expect and the colour gradation is quite sharp, not as gradual as I’d have liked. But there’s nothing wrong with it and it does shine!
