Kerry - Texture stitch 8ply baby beanie with garter brim

This 8ply/DK baby beanie has a garter stitch brim, then is worked in an easy textured stitch which would suit either a girl or a boy. The crown shaping rows are written out for you to ensure the pattern stitch follows up correctly. If you prefer a turned up brim, please see my Olly pattern.

Pattern sizes: 0 (3-6-12) months.

To fit head: 35 (40-45-48) cm [13¾ (15¾-17¾-19) ins].

Yarn required: 1 (1-1-1) ball Merino Soft 8ply, 50g balls@125m.

Needles required: A pair of 4.00mm [UK 8, US 6] knitting needles.

Wool needle for sewing up.

Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles.
