The name Kawoon is a loose phonetic equivalent to the Ukrainian word for watermelon, a delicious fruit just as cheerful and bright as the colorwork at the yoke of this sweater.
The speedy linen stitch paired with the worsted-weight yarn creates a soft, comfortable, drapey fabric which makes this sweater an enjoyable treat for your hook too. The bold ribbing at the hem and cuffs balances the bright colorwork at the yoke, and gives the sweater an allover everyday-casual look.

Unfortunately this pattern was not well written, the instructions were not clear and sometimes were incorrect. It was therefore difficult to follow, so I eventually gave up and bought a different pattern from LoveCrafts for a similar style jumper which had clear, comprehensive instructions.
