Materials

1. US Size 0 (2mm) set of 5 dpns or circular needles (for Magic Loop method)

2. Light fingering weight yarn 231y/50 g (211m/50g). You will need about 325 y/70 g total: Background color – 162 y / 35 g, Contrast color – 162 y / 35 g.

Gauge

9 sts x 13 rows (in stranded colorwork knitting in the round) in 1” x 1” after blocking

Notes

1. Size: The mittens are 70 stitches in the hand part. With recommended yarn, needles, and gauge the mittens should fit an 8” circumference hand. To make larger size mittens use larger needles or thicker yarn.

2. Options: There are 3 options to choose from with 3 different snowflakes. If you like, you can mix and match the options and have a different snowflake on each mitten.

3. Stranded colorwork: Follow the charts from right to left. Make sure to catch longer floats using preferred method.
