What is Being Made

The HP Hermione Comfort Doll is a knitted one-piece character doll designed by Leanna Booth in March 2020, featuring the beloved character Hermione from the Harry Potter series. This comfort doll is crafted as a complete figure in a single continuous knitting project, making it an efficient and satisfying creation for intermediate knitters. The doll is designed to be a cuddly companion, with the entire body constructed through strategic increases and color changes rather than separate assembled pieces.

Techniques Used

This knitting project employs several fundamental techniques to create the three-dimensional doll form. Knit front and back (kfb) increases are used strategically to expand the fabric and create shaping for the doll's body structure. Stocking stitch (stockinette in US terminology) forms the primary fabric base, creating a smooth, finished appearance suitable for a comfort toy.
