Horse Pony Rug Knitting Pattern Snoo's Knits

Keep a toy horse warm with one of these pretty rugs. They will fit the Snoo’s Knits horse pattern or an old-style My Little Pony. For larger horses, try knitting with chunkier wool to produce a bigger rug.

Difficulty: Easy

Stitches used: kfb, k2tog, p2tog

You will need:

• Wool, 20g of each colour. I used Double Knit [8-6 ply, “light worsted”.] Tension square: 10cm x 10cm square is 24 stitches across and 32 rows.

• Knitting needles – I used UK size 11 [3.0mm, US size 2.5]

• Blunt sewing needle with an eye big enough to thread your wool through

• Stitch-holder / spare needle

• Fastening such as a popper [press stud, snap fastener], hook-and-eye closure or small button

• Ordinary needle and thread to attach your fastening

• Optional: small decoration for plain rug
