Highland Heather Scarf

Inspired by scenic Highland colours and a simple fair isle pattern.

This pattern is suitable for confident beginner knitters and assumes an understanding of basic stitches and knitting terms. Skills used in this pattern: cast on, cast off, knit stitch, purl stitch, working with changes of colour. The scarf is knitted in the round with repeating rows of a simple fair isle pattern. Solid stripes combine with rows of v’s on a neutral background. At the beginning and end of each round and when joining yarn be careful to maintain the tension for a neat finish. When breaking yarn and joining new yarn allow approx. 8cm for weaving in ends.
