Hidden Canyon

Hidden Canyon is a rectangle shawl knitted from one short end to the other in a wavy knit stitch pattern that uses yarn overs. It's worked flat, no increases or decreases. It uses two colors to achieve the stripe effect. Fringes are attached to each short end.

Finished size: approx. 88 inches/223cm long by 15 inches/38cm wide, blocked. I give instructions for how to customize length and width if you'd like it bigger or smaller.

Suggested yarn: between 950 - 1025 yards/869 - 937 meters of DK weight yarn in a main color and a contrasting color. I used cotton/bamboo fibers but any fiber will work beautifully! Use your favorite and/or what you have access to.

Suggested needles: size 5/3.75 mm straights or circulars will both work

Gauge: 22 sts and 20 rows = 4 inches/10cm in the wavy knit stitch pattern.

Skills needed: casting on, binding off, knit stitch, yarn overs, making and adding fringe (I included instructions for how I do it).
