Helena's Lace Shawl

Allow a nice colorway yarn to produce a visually complex scheme of changing color and design in this easy to knit shawl. Step it up by adding some glass beads to enhance the impact even more.

The shawl is knit from the top down decreasing 6 stitches every other row. 34 rows of lace border, accented by the optional beads, lead into a easy to remember 6 stitch repeat lace pattern in the body. Knit on #7 needles and using 600 yds. of yarn, this shawl is a fast project to complete. 3 stitch markers are the only other item needed with the exception of glass beads. The turquoise shawl is knit with Louisa Harding Amitola, the beige and purple, one skein of Bergere De France Unic.
