Product Description
A whole family of cuddly hedgehogs in one pattern. These cute little guys are far from prickly.
For an INTERMEDIATE knitter because the construction uses short row shaping (explained in the pattern) and picking up stitches. The hedgehogs are mostly knitted flat on straight needles, the face and arms are knitted in the round on dpns. Each hedgehog is a quick knit and there is some sewing, but only two short seams.
SKILLS REQUIRED Garter (knit) Stitch; Stockinette Stitch; Knitting in the round on dpns; M1L and M1R (or left and right leaning increase); SSK and K2tog (or left and right leaning decreases); Sewing together using mattress stitch; Picking Up stitches; Short Row Shaping (fully explained in the pattern)
MATERIALS REQUIRED Approx 65 (45, 30) yds brown DK yarn; Approx 35 (25, 15) yds white/cream DK yarn; US size 3 (3.25 mm) needles; US size 3 (3.25 mm) double-pointed needles; Scrap of pink to embroider nose; Tapestry needle; Fiberfill
