Hat on Straight Needles: Pinecones

This hat is quick and easy to make. All you need to know is how to knit and purl in order to make it! It’s knitted in one piece, on flat needles, starting from the rim of the hat and working up to the top. The body is knitted in Pinecone stitch, which gives a diamond effect which looks like stacked pinecones, and is made up of knit and purl stitches. It's so simple, but gives such a wonderful texture and cozy quilted effect.
