Hat and Bonnet Jasmine Stitch

This delicate newborn hat or bonnet is perfect as a baby shower gift (or as a photo prop).

Finished circumference - 32.5 cm (13") Finished length 13.5 cm (5½")

You will need: less than 100 m (109yds) of 2 to 4-ply, laceweight yarn, a 3.50 mm hook, a stitch marker and a needle for neatening ends.

Hook size can be adjusted to meet the diameter measured gauge checks after Rows 2 & 3.

The hat pattern, as given, worked in Aran (WW) yarn with a 4.50 mm hook will produce a hat with a 40 cm (16") head circumference and 18.5 cm (6½") length to fit a baby approximately 3-6 months.
