Half Empty, Half Full

A long asymmetrical triangle comprised of two halves, and making use of one skein of speckle yarn and a complimentary skein of a semi-solid yarn. The first half is worked in an easy half linen stitch. The pretty speckles in the linen stitch half are picked up in the yarn used for the following lace and cable section. Variegated yarns would also work well, as would a single gradient skein.
