Sizing & Meterage
The tree skirt can be made as small or as large as you want. The size you require depends on the width of your tree. A common rule is to make your skirt 6 inches bigger than the tree width. As a guide a tree skirt between 48-56” is ideal for trees from 7.5ft to 9ft tall.
The yardage required is entirely dependent on how large you make your tree skirt. For the tree skirt shown in this pattern, which would be ideal for a 6ft tall tree, I used approx. 971m of DK weight yarn.
