These are a wonderful pattern. My 4 year old niece has taken the green one and will not give it back to me.
I am not sure whether to call them finger puppets because the eyes fit over your fingers, or hand puppets as the rest of the face is made up of your hand. It is amazing how many different expressions you can make with them. I wish I could post a video with the listing to show you how cute they can be.
They are the perfect project for fetes or bon bon (cracker) fillers as they only use about 10 1/2 m (11 1/5) yards of yarn. The perfect stash buster!. They also only take about 30-40 minutes from start to finish and they are a great, unusual novelty.
They are knitted on 2 needles with 8 ply (DK) yarn so even a beginner can make him. They measure about 6 1/2cm (2 1/2") tall.

- Additional supplies: Fiberfill or similar stuffing material for filling the eyeballs; a knitting needle can be used as a tool to help insert stuffing into tight spaces
Construction Method
The Googlers are constructed by knitting two identical eyeball halves from the cast-on through all shaping rows. After completing both pieces, they are sewn together with wrong sides facing to create the seams. The assembled form is then stuffed carefully—the pattern notes that stuffing can be challenging due to the small opening, and recommends using the blunt end of a knitting needle to help push stuffing into the eyeball. Once stuffed, the final opening is closed by threading yarn through remaining stitches.
