I personally love gerbera flower.
This explains my choice to crochet it for myself as well as create a pattern that allows you to make your own gerbera :)
I have used US crochet terminology
When using the recommended materials, the diameter of the flower is 8 cm.
My flowers are crocheted with very thin yarn. For this project, it is not necessary to use yarns of the same thickness. Any cotton yarn that you feel comfortable working with will do. If you choose a thicker thread, the flowers will turn out larger. Gerberas come in a variety of colors and shades (from white to burgundy), so any yarn color is possible. For crocheting small and large petals, I took two shades of pink, but they can be made in the same color. Therefore, three colors are enough to create one flower: light green (or brown) for the middle, pink for small and large petals, green for sepals and stem.
