Four Seasons Hangings - Snowdrop for Winter

These wall hangings are created using Tapestry Crochet for the background. The flowers use florists wire and wadding to create a 3-D effect and are appliquéd to the background. Nearly all of the flower parts are worked in dc (US-sc) and, provided you take the instructions step by step, are not complicated.

Materials: DMC Natura Just Cotton, Florists wire. The florists wire I use is 30cm (12inch) lengths of gauge 28. It is available from most florists or on eBay.

Equipment: 2.5mm hook, tapestry needle, two hanging rods.

Tension: 13 dc x 15 rows to 5 cm square.

Finished Size: The back panel measures about 23 x 61 cm (9 x 24 in).
