Football and Helmet Applique

Applique are great for embellishing hats, beanies, bags, blankets, and many other crafts.

Finished sizes using size H/5mm hook and worsted weight yarn:

Football – approx. 3 ½ inches across and 2 ½ inches tall

Helmet – approx. 2 ¼ inches by 2 ¼ inches not including mouth guard

Pattern is ranked easy to intermediate and uses the following stitches: single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch. An adjustable ring is used to make the helmet.

There are several detailed pictures in this pattern to help those who need to see examples. I am a visual learner and just have to see it sometimes to understand.
