Flowers in Mittens

Years ago I learned how to make flowers in knitting, and wanted to see how they look like in mittens as an ornamental border. Orange is one of my favorite colors, and I wanted to contrast it with dark blue to stand out. The pattern reminds me of the beautiful fall Mums. I wanted to include the orange color also in the hand, so I made the star pattern. I had difficult time to decide what color I would make the thumbs, so I ended up one with blu, the other orange. Of course the colors can be any of your choice, and the thumbs with stripes as well. The yarn I used is 7 Brothers by Novita, which is Aran weight.
