Product Description
All proceeds are donated to Expanding Lives, a nonprofit that educates and empowers young African women. Fiorire means to flower or bloom, as the scarf does when you draw one of its ruffled ends through the other and a flower appears. It can be worn as a headband, too! In English or French. Pattern includes gauges and stitch counts for super bulky, bulky, aran, worsted, dk, sport, or fingering weight yarns. The knitter can adjust for about age 8 through adult size by varying the length.
Instructions include the original technique (worked partly in the round and partly flat, with grafting), and variations to work entirely flat and/or without grafting.
Estimated yarn amount needed: Super Bulky, 70 yds / 65 m; Bulky, 75 yards / 69 m; Aran, 95 yards / 87 m; Worsted, 105 yards / 96 m; DK, 115 yds / 105 m; Sport, 120 yds / 110 m; or Fingering, 145 yards /133 m.
