Product Description
This romper is really amazing. I love the drape of the yarn as it is like my second skin, that is why I would advise you to use yarn that has drape (linen and viscose blends). It is great as a swimsuit cover-up, or for a chilling in a hot weather with cute bralette or crop top under.
Items needed: • 4 mm hook Gauge 4´´ - 16st to 8 rows • S - 200 g of sport weight yarn, best with viscose or linen for a nice drape – I used Edita Glamour • Rubberband as long as your waist (I used 5 mm wide) • Needle to sew in the ends and the rubberband • 2 stitch markers
Pattern includes written pattern and pictures which makes it much easier to follow. It is written in standard US terms.
Fierce Jumper Crochet Pattern by Izabela Firlová
What is Being Made
The Fierce Jumper is a crocheted one-piece playsuit designed as a beginner-friendly project. This garment features a fitted waistband construction that works from the waist downward, creating shorts before transitioning to the top portion. The design uses an elastic rubberband waist for comfort and secure fit, making it suitable for various sizes from XS to XL.
Construction Technique
The pattern employs a top-down construction method, beginning at the waist and working downward to complete the shorts section before building the upper garment. The waistband is secured using a custom-fitted rubberband that is sewn at the ends to create a comfortable elastic foundation. Crocheters measure their waist with the rubberband first to ensure proper fit before beginning the pattern. The initial chain is calculated based on hip measurements, with specific stitch counts provided for each size range from XS (75-80 cm hips) through XL (115 cm hips).

Materials and Tools Required
This beginner project requires sport weight yarn, with the designer recommending 200 grams for size S. The pattern suggests choosing yarn with viscose or linen content to achieve optimal drape in the finished garment. The designer used Edita Glamour yarn for the sample. A 4 mm crochet hook is needed to achieve the correct gauge of 16 stitches to 8 rows over 4 inches. Additional supplies include a 5 mm wide rubberband cut to fit the wearer's waist, a needle for sewing in ends and attaching the rubberband, and 2 stitch markers to track pattern placement.
Difficulty Level
Rated as a beginner project, this pattern is accessible to those new to crochet while introducing fundamental techniques. The straightforward stitch selection and clear size progression make it an ideal first garment construction.
