Gauge - I would absolutely advise you make a swatch to check your tension, as you want a nice stury bag that can hold its shape: I’m a tight crocheter - working chunky yarn with 5mm hook 10 rows x 10 sc (dc in UK) will give you a 2.5” square And working the DK with a 2.5mm hook for 10 rows x 10 sc (dc in UK) gives you a 1.5” square

In the pictures I have added a screen shot of yarns and other materials I have used. Colour A I used just shy of 1 ball, ALL other BAG colours use less than 1/3 of a ball each.
