Escrescenzo è lavorato in tondo, dall'alto verso il basso, in giri concentrici di maglie basse chiuse da maglie bassissime, ed è animato da una colonna di noccioline molto vistose. La chiusura di giro in maglie bassissime è nascosta proprio dall'ultima nocciolina eseguita. Si esegue in una serata. Per le più avventurose, sarà possibile dare luce alla riga di noccioline unendovi un filo di lamé.
