Product Description
An endless braid wrapping your wrist in yarny goodness. It can be made from precious scraps to fit any wrist with any weight yarn, and it's so simple you'll soon be making endless variations!
To make this bracelet, you’ll need to know your wrist measurement. As written, it produces a snugly fitting piece. Because of the way the bracelet is made, gauge is not super important. Go with a look you like. ❤
The pieces shown measure 1” x 8” (cream) and 3/4” x 8" (green), with a gauge of 4 sts & 2.5 rows to 1” in worsted and in 5.5 sts & 5 rows to 1” in the fingering with needles a few sizes larger than I'd normally use for the yarn.
My yarn estimates are rough, but this project can easily be made with leftover yarn.
Endless Knitted Jewelry by Elanor Sakamoto
Project Overview
Endless is a knitted jewelry design created by independent designer Elanor Sakamoto. This project focuses on crafting wearable jewelry pieces using fundamental knitting techniques, making it an accessible option for beginners exploring the intersection of fiber arts and accessory design.
Craft and Primary Technique
This design is created entirely through knitting, the primary craft method. Knitting allows for the creation of flexible, textured jewelry pieces that drape elegantly on the body. The technique involves interlocking loops of yarn using two needles to form fabric, which can be shaped and finished into wearable jewelry components.
Yarn and Materials
The Endless project uses 3-ply and worsted weight yarns. These yarn weights provide excellent structure and definition for jewelry pieces while remaining manageable for beginner-level crafters. Worsted weight yarn offers good stitch definition and durability, while 3-ply yarn provides a lighter, more delicate option. The project requires standard knitting needles appropriate to the chosen yarn weight.
Difficulty Level
Designed as a beginner-friendly project, Endless uses foundational knitting stitches and techniques that newcomers to the craft can confidently execute. This accessibility makes it an ideal introduction to creating handmade jewelry through knitting.
