I have a bunch of Madelinetosh Merino light yarn mini skeins and I love stripe projects. So the Elyssa dress was born. A simple, classic design, so all you have to do is add your imagination. Suggestions to try: All solid, random stripes, 2 color stripes, anything you can think of. Elyssa is a top down design, with a full skirt, and cap sleeves, which can be lengthen. The pattern is great for using up yarn of the same ply, and the little dress is OK even using a mixture of different yarns and fibres. I had a bit of difficulty understanding the instructions for the button and buttonhole band but worked it out my own way.
