An additional 100 to 200 yards (99 to 198 meters) is required if the optional drawstring collar is included.

Suggested Yarn Options: The pattern recommends three specific worsted-weight merino options: Color Adventures Dia Worsted (100% superwash merino; 218 yards per 3.5 oz skein), Malabrigo Rios (100% merino; 210 yards per 3.5 oz skein), and Western Sky Knits Willow Worsted (100% merino; 210 yards per 4 oz skein). All three are high-quality merino blends known for softness, breathability, and excellent stitch definition.

Needles and Gauge: The pattern calls for US 10 / 6 mm and US 6 / 4 mm circular needles, each 32 inches (80 cm) or longer, allowing for magic loop knitting or the use of coordinating double-pointed needles (DPNs) if preferred. The working gauge is 18 stitches and 24 rows per 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch on the larger needles, a standard gauge that produces a fabric with good elasticity and drape.
