Product Description
Sometimes you just want to knit something relaxing and let your mind wander, but not endless rows of garter stitch. Knitted lengthwise so that you can get into a rhythm, each of the six bands is different, giving texture as well as colour and keeps the knitting interesting. The stepped growth of the bands add a little extra flair to the ends of the scarf.
The pattern includes two options for length, with different ordering of the bands/colours to optimise your yarn usage if using 50 gramme skeins. You will also need scraps of two accent colours.
You could use this pattern as a real scrap buster, making each band a different colour.
The long sample used two different colourways of Drops Delight for the main colours, a yarn with long colour repeats that works very well with the long rows of this design, and sock yarn scraps. The shorter version used Drops Alpaca for all 4 colours.
Each band is charted and the pattern has full written instructions
