Donguri is a top-down sweater worked in the round, featuring a textured stitch pattern created by using tiny cables or “twist” stitches. This pattern is worked by following a chart which gradually increases to shape the yoke. The little groupings of twist stitches remind me of acorns, or donguri 団栗, as they are called in Japan.
