Diamonds & Gold

I am obsessed with simple, yet beautiful lacework at the moment. And what’s the best way to make lace even simpler? Why, working it in the round of course! This means the knitting simply flies with rounds of knit stitches between rounds of eyelets. Throw in a little seed stitch for texture and you’ve got almost all my favorite elements. I say almost, because to really be perfect this cowl needed that signature twist of curiosity: What if split the cowl into two halves--lace and stockinette? What if I used the lace diamond’s natural diagonal line to do it? Diamonds and Gold is the result of those questions. It blew me away and I can’t stop wearing it!
