Product Description
This knitting pattern was inspired by the blue and white hand-painted Delft tiles. Delftware or “Delft Blue” tin-glazed earthenwares became popular during the 17th century. The tiles were often decorated with the scenes from everyday life. These mittens have a pattern with fruit bowl and tulips.
The mittens are knitted in the round using two colour stranded knitting. Light and dark blue tones are added in Swiss darning technique. The cuff has a picot edge. The pattern includes both charts and written instructions. Photo tutorials are given for picot edge, picking up stitches for thumb and Swiss darning.
