I’ve been knitting baby blankets and clothes for years and I find Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino the best yarn to work with. It knits up beautifully and it washes well. It’s also very soft against baby’s skin. It is expensive but worth paying extra for.

I have used this wool before when making a baby blanket for our fifth grandchild. I made it in the denim colour which is super shade. It turned out beautifully but it was washed in hot water and it shrunk! Sad but it is still a treasured blanket loved by its five year old owner. Knitted up beautifully but despite being washable at 30 the jerseys I knitted for my granddaughter from a different colour felted after only 2 washes! My daughter has a top loading washing machine, could this be an issue?

It knits up well with good definition. It is also very soft.

I bought the yarn to make baby blankets. One is started and the yarn is exactly as I remembered. It will be an easy care item for my new grand baby. It’s knitting up well. The yarn is a little on the splitty side.

The yarn itself is lovely but I do resent the joins that occasionally occur- they often come in the middle of a row requiring a long taking back.
