Daffodil Hot Water Bottle Cosy

There are many patterns for hot water bottle cosies and frankly there is nothing I love more than a hot water bottle and a cosy, a comfy couch with a good book. Not forgetting a cup of tea of course. I have never seen a hot water bottle cosy like this and I have designed it especially to go with the Daffodil slippers and tea cosy. Naturally you do not have to knit the entire set as you may feel you were sitting in the middle of a field of bulbs. On the other hand I think they are very cheering and you cannot have too many. Knitting the cosy in the houndstooth check pattern produces a lovely dense fabric as the yarn not in use is carried along the wrong side of the work and creates a lined effect. Warmer hot water bottle for longer. Due to the fabric being a bit less stretchy than normal I have made the cosy a bit wider than you might expect if you have knitted cosies in the past. This allows for a well filled hot water bottle to be inserted.
